Protect your home, office or site with a CCTV camera range built for New Zealand conditions. We stock IP and analogue security cameras — dome, bullet, turret, PTZ and PoE models — from trusted brands including Hikvision, Dahua and Uniview, plus the NVRs, switches and cabling to complete the system. Whether you're after a single weatherproof camera for a driveway or a multi-channel setup for a warehouse or retail store, you'll find resolutions from 2MP up to 4K/8MP with night vision, motion detection and smart analytics. As a B2B IT supplier we can also spec and quote full installations for businesses across NZ. All cameras are brand-new, genuine stock with manufacturer warranty, priced in NZD including GST, and dispatched nationwide.
Selecting the right CCTV camera for your home or business depends on several key factors. First, consider resolution – modern cameras range from 1080p Full HD to 4K Ultra HD. Higher resolution cameras like the Ubiquiti G6 8-Megapixel provide clearer images for identifying faces and details, while standard 1080p options offer good quality at a more affordable price point.
Next, think about placement. Indoor cameras typically don't require weatherproofing, while outdoor cameras should have IP67 ratings or higher like the Lilin P5R6522E2K to withstand New Zealand's varied weather conditions. For entryways, consider doorbell cameras with two-way audio. For large areas, PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras offer remote control movement and optical zoom capabilities to monitor wider spaces.
Connectivity is another important consideration. Most modern security cameras connect via PoE (Power over Ethernet) for reliable wired connections or Wi-Fi for flexible placement. Look for cameras that integrate with your existing network and offer remote viewing through mobile apps. For businesses or larger properties, consider systems that allow for multiple camera integration and centralized monitoring. Remember that storage options – either local SD card, NVR (Network Video Recorder) or cloud-based – will affect both initial cost and ongoing expenses.
IP (network) cameras send digital video over your network cabling and record to an NVR, giving higher resolution, remote viewing and smart analytics. Analogue cameras send video over coax to a DVR and are usually cheaper for simple setups. For most new installs we recommend PoE IP cameras — one cable carries both power and data.
PoE (Power over Ethernet) lets a single network cable carry both data and power, so you don't need a separate power supply at each camera. It makes installation far tidier and is standard on most modern IP cameras — just pair them with a PoE switch or PoE NVR.
2MP (1080p) is fine for general coverage; 4MP gives clearer detail for faces and number plates; 4K/8MP suits large areas or where you'll digitally zoom into footage. Higher resolution needs more storage, so size your NVR's hard drive accordingly.
Yes. We supply cameras, NVRs, PoE switches, storage and cabling, and can put together a complete business quote. Contact our team with your site details and we'll spec a system to suit.
Most of our bullet, turret and dome cameras carry an IP66/IP67 weatherproof rating for outdoor use. Check the individual product spec for the IP rating and operating temperature range.
